Piciformes

Piciformes is an order of zygodactyl birds (2 digits pointing forwards, 2 digits pointing backwards). Almost exclusively arboreal and climbers, piciformes eat a mixed but mainly insectivorous diet. The largest family of Piciformes is the Picidae family.
