Nymph

The nymph stage is the development stage preceding the imago stage (adult). In insects that undergo incomplete metamorphosis, the only difference between the nymph stage and the adult stage is the incomplete development of the wings and genital organs. In insects that undergo complete metamorphosis, major internal transformations take place during the nymph stage.
