Aplysia

Aplysia are nudibranch gastropod molluscs. Resembling slugs, but infinitely more elegant, varieties of species of aplysia can be found in all the world's seas, near the coast. Aplysia carry plumed gills on their backs, protected by a cutaneous fold. When threatened aplysia emit a purple, non-toxic liquid.
