Lahar

Lahar is a term of Indonesian origin denoting mud slides with debris of all sizes of volcanic rocks, on steep and badly consolidated volcanic slopes. Water from the melting of glaciers, the emptying of a lake and precipitation is the cause of this dangerous phenomenon.
