Terra

Terra was a NASA satellite launched on 18 December 1999 by an Atlas IIAS rocket.

The TERRA satellite, flagship of the EOS programme, provides essential measurements of the physical and radiative properties of clouds, energy exchanges, carbon, air/Earth water and air/sea water, trace gases and volcanoes, using the observations of its five instruments.
