SETI

SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) is a scientific radio astronomy programme dedicated to the search for intelligent extraterrestrial life in the universe.

It relies on SETI@home, a project in which the unused processing capacity of millions of computers connected to the Internet over the world is used to process the radio telescope data from the research programme.
