Right ascension of a direction

The right ascension of a direction for a given date. One of the polar equatorial coordinates. The dihedral angle on the hour circle of the direction and of the equinox taken as origin. The right ascension is counted positively in clockwise direction, sometimes in degrees from 0° to 360°, more generally in hours from 0h to 24h (1h = 15°).
