Pulsar

A pulsar is a neutron star (a star at the end of its evolution, very dense and with a very small diameter) spinning rapidly and emitting radio pulses with a remarkably constant period of between 1 millisecond and a few seconds. The study of pulsars provides useful information for determining time scales.
