Mimas

Mimas (Saturn I) was discovered by Herschel in 1789.

Mimas is the smallest of the spherical satellites. It is a "big ball of dirty ice", peppered with impact craters including a large one bordered by "Herschel's walls". Its period of revolution is 22 hours 30 minutes.
