Longitude

One of the astronomical coordinates. The dihedral angle between the local celestial meridian and the reference celestial meridian intersecting the terrestrial meridian as origin and the true equator on the date. Astronomical longitude is generally measured in degrees, -180° to +180° positively to the west i.e. from 0° to 180° east or west as recommended by the IAU.
