Hubble constant

The Hubble constant gives the rate of expansion of the universe depending on time. The Hubble constant is used to determine the size and age of the universe, and also makes it possible to match the red shift of a galaxy with an estimate of the distance. The Hubble constant is not known precisely but lies somewhere between 55 and 80 km/s/Mpc.
