CNES

The French space agency, the CNES, was founded in 1961 by the French government. The CNES is a public industrial and commercial establishment in charge of the development of space activities in France.

The job of the CNES is to propose the French government space policy orientations and to implement the chosen programmes with its partners from industry, research and defence.
