Azimuthal mount

A azimuthal mount is a telescope mount with two perpendicular axes, one horizontal and the other vertical, used to position the instrument in height or azimuth. The position of observed objects varies permanently in azimuth and declination thereby requiring to re-adjust the instrument along the two axes. This movement can be motor-driven. The device is required for astrophotography which needs very long exposure times.
