Atmosphere

The gaseous layer around certain planets. Without our atmosphere we could not live on Earth. In astronomy, the gaseous envelope around a celestial body, which may contain particles in suspension (dust, gas, aerosols etc.). All stars have a gaseous atmosphere at a very high temperature that causes light to be emitted.
