Recycling

Recycling is a process for treating waste and reintroducing materials recovered during waste treatment into the production cycle of equivalent or different products. Recycling helps reduce the volume of waste, and therefore waste pollution, and preserves natural resources by reusing raw materials that have already been extracted.

For example, plastic bottles can be recycled into " polar " textiles : after selective collection and sorting the plastic material is recovered and used to produce this textile. One polar sweater can be made with the PET (polyethylene terephthalate) contained in 25 plastic bottles.
