IUCN

The IUCN, or International Union for Conservation of Nature, is the biggest global environmental protection network. It gathers together over 1,000 governments and NGOs and nearly 11,000 volunteer experts and scientists from over 160 countries. It supports scientific research, informs local authorities and implements conservation and preservation programmes for nature and the environment.

Its headquarters are located in Gland, Switzerland.
