Gas pipeline
Gas pipelines are pipes that transport pressurised gas over long distances, on land or in water. They mainly transport natural gas.
Types of gas pipelines
There are three types of gas pipeline:
- gas pipelines used for collection, on sites where gas is extracted;
- gas pipelines used for transport, which carry pressurised gas across continents;
- gas pipelines used for distribution, which bring gas to consumers.
