Fair trade

Fair trade ensures producers in southern countries have a suitable income to develop their activities over the long term. Fair trade organisations work with democratically managed cooperatives of small producers and encourage them to use eco-friendly practices. Today, fair trade concerns food and craft products, but may also apply to industrial products.
