Massive Compact Halo Objects

Macho, is an acronym for Massive Compact Halo Objects. Machos are probably brown dwarfs or compact bodies such as stellar black holes, old neutron stars or white dwarfs, which could explain the nature of dark matter.

They are often opposed to Wimps.
