Fuel

A fuel is a substance able to burn in the presence of another reagent (a fuel oxidiser) to provide energy (e.g. for the propulsion of a launch vehicle). By extension, we also refer to the materials used to produce electricity in nuclear power stations as fuel, e.g. MOX.
