Fermion

A fermion is a particle with half-integer spin; it obeys Fermi-Dirac statistics. Leptons and quarks are fermions. Photons are not fermions.

Fermions obey the Pauli exclusion principle and two fermions cannot exist in the same quantum state.

They are also particles of which the spin is a half-integer multiple of hbar.
