Fast neutron reactor

A fast neutron reactor is one which has no moderator and in which most fission chain reactions are generated by fast neutrons. It needs richer fissile fuel than thermal reactors, and is currently uneconomical, but it has the advantage of reducing the total radioactivity of nuclear waste.
