Urticaria

Urticaria is a transient skin reaction, producing a rash of spots with redness and itching.

It is a common symptom of allergies and usually only has mild consequences although certain serious forms of urticaria may have complications.

Urticaria is caused by the release of a histamine by certain immune system cells after an exaggerated reaction to an allergen.
