Urine M&C

Urine microscopy and culture is an investigation which examines urine for bacteria or other materials. The urine is collected and then examined under a microscope, allowing red cells and white blood cells (leukocytes) to be counted. The examination is also used to reveal crystals and bacteria etc. The investigation can be used to examine abnormal cells after the urine has been centrifuged.
