Testosterone

Testosterone is a male hormone secreted by the sex glands (testes) which stimulates the development of the male genital organs. Some prostate tumours are sensitive to testosterone.

The hormone is also secreted during competitive activities or combat between male animals, and causes aggressive behaviour.
