Teratoma

A teratoma is a tumour formed from pluripotent cells still present in the body or introduced by a stem cell transplant.

The tumour derives from one or more of the three types of embryonic layers (endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm) and may be benign or malignant.

A teratoma can develop from cells created from stem cells. © sante-decouverte A teratoma can develop from cells created from stem cells. © sante-decouverte
