Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's Disease is one of the commonest neurodegenerative diseases. It results in slow progressive destruction of neurones in the substantia nigra in the brain. This produces motor symptoms (tremor, muscle rigidity, impossible or delayed movements) and also intellectual defects (deterioration in memory and difficulty adapting behaviour to changes in situations).
