LH

LH is an anterior pituitary hormone (lutenising hormone), which targets the male and female sex glands.

In men, it stimulates the activity of Leydig cells in the testes, which produce testosterone. Its production is controlled by testosterone concentrations in accordance with a negative feedback.

In women, it stimulates production of progestogen and triggers ovulation.
