How does levetiracetam work?
Like the other antiepileptics (particularly gabapentin), the mechanism of action of levetiracetam has not been clearly established. You should note, however, that this medicine is derived from an old molecule - piracetam – which particularly has vasodilating properties.

Levetiracetam can cause persistent fatigue and also coordination abnormalities. It can also cause disordered sleep or even mood problems.
