InVS

The French Institute for Health Monitoring (Institut de Veille Sanitaire) was created in July 1998 succeeding the French National Public Health Network (Réseau national de santé publique (RNSP)). Its purpose is to permanently monitor the health of the population and changes in this. In particular, it is responsible for identifying any threats to public health and informing public bodies in order to collate and analyse knowledge about health risks.
