In vitro fertilisation

In vitro fertilisation is an artificial fertilisation method to rectify some cases of sterility.
In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is performed outside of the body in a test tube in which the gametes or sex cells (spermatozoa and ovule) are placed in contact in order to produce an embryo which is subsequently implanted into the mother's uterus or into the uterus of a surrogate mother.
