Hirudiniasis

Hirudiniasis is an infestation by leaches (hirudinea). The infestation may be external (epidermis) or internal (respiratory tract, genital tract, etc.) The latter is associated with a risk of respiratory problems, bleeding, anaemia or bacterial infections in livestock or human beings.
