Epilepsy

Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder involving electrical discharges from groups of neurones (central nervous system cells). Certain brain tumours can present with epileptic seizures.

There are two forms of epilepsy:

• generalised epilepsy, and
• focal (or partial) epilepsy.

Some cannot be classified within these two types in which case the term unclassified. is used.
