Dysentery

Dysentery is an inflammation of the intestine that can be triggered by irritant chemicals, bacteria, protozoa, or parasites. Dysentery occurs frequently in inadequate sanitary conditions particularly if food and water are not clean. It causes frequent bloody diarrhoea with abdominal pain and tenesmus (a false desire to open the bowels).
