Cerebrovascular accident

A cerebrovascular accident is a sudden loss of neurological functions not due to a seizure but due to an ischaemic or haemorrhagic intra-cranial vascular event. CVA are generally classified by their anatomical site, vascular distribution, cause, age of the person affected and whether the accident is haemorrhagic or non-haemorrhagic.
