Catheter

A catheter is a thin flexible tube usually introduced into a vein, in order to inject a medicine or nutrient solution through it. The catheter entrance may go beyond the skin or may be composed of a capsule located beneath the skin. This allows repeated injections without needing to prick the vein on each occasion, which particularly increases patient comfort.
