Cachexia is a state involving weakness and malnutrition. Callus
The term "cal" has two meanings: a callus is a hardened part of the surface of the skin generally caused by excessive rubbing or pressure at that particular place. It is common to see calluses in the last joint of the ring finger in the dominant hand in people who write a lot. The term can also mean a mass of soft bone tissue which forms at a fracture and which hardens as the bone knits back together.
