Bisphenol A

Bisphenol A, or BPA, is a chemical molecule with the chemical equation C₁₅H₁₆O₂.

It is contained in polymers used in many food plastics and is classified as a reprotoxic substance (one which affects reproduction). Concerns have been raised about whether it is hazardousand because of this it has been progressively banned in some countries particularly from the composition of teats.
