Anti-inflammatory

Anti-inflammatory describes a method, substance or medicine which combats inflammation.

The main anti-inflammatories are aspirin, corticosteroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Their main disadvantage is their poor gastro-intestinal tolerability.
