Anti-hormone

The term anti-hormone refers to a medicine whose purpose is to abolish the biological effects of a hormone. For example: tamoxifen is an anti-hormone which blocks some of the effects of estrogens and is used as a medicine to treat hormone-sensitive breast tumours.
