Anthelminthics

The anthelminthics are medicines which destroy or remove intestinal worms. These substances act by interfering with the carbohydrate metabolism of the parasite, inhibiting their respiratory enzymes, blocking their neuromuscular activity or making them vulnerable to be destroyed by host macrophages.
