Angina pectoris

Angina pectoris refers to a situation when the heart supplies too little blood - and therefore oxygen - because of narrowing (stenoses) of the arteries. It is a disorder with characteristic pain although no necrosis of the cardiac tissue occurs as happens in an infarction.
