Magnetic field

A magnetic field is a physical vector quantity (H or B); B usually being called magnetic induction. One of the components of a magnetic field.

H and B are related by the equation H=B/μo in a vacuum and by H=B/μo - M in a magnetising field M.

The fundamental quantity is B, from which is derived H describing the magnetic field in the media.
