Conductance

Just as resistance is defined as the ratio U/I, conductance G is defined as the reciprocal of resistance: G = I/U

The unit of conductance is the siemens (S).

Example: a resistance R = 10 ohms corresponds to a conductance G = 1/(10 ohms) = 0.1 siemens.
