Google AdSense is an online advertising service for publishers, from Google.

On joining this programme, a web site publisher can place AdSense advertisements on their site in various formats (banner, medium rectangle, button) and is paid per click. The advertisements that advertisers buy on AdWords are mainly in the form of text links, even though for some time Google has also been sending image formats.
