Gunning

Gunning was originally a technique used to coat a surface by spraying a special type of concrete, called gunite. When building a garden pond (or swimming pool), concrete is spray using a pneumatic cannon on an iron framework assembled in the required shape. The walls and invert sill are made at the same time in order to obtain a continuous reinforced concrete structure.
