Geomembrane

A geomembrane is an artificial airtight membrane made of elastomers, thermoplastics (polyethylene, PVC) or non-woven bitumen-coated geotextiles.

In France, the use of the term geomembrane (also called geosynthetic) is subject to the NF P 84-500 standard.
