VHF

VHF, Very High Frequency is the frequency band between 30 MHz and 300 MHz corresponding to wavelengths between 1 and 10 metres.

VHF is commonly used for FM radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, land mobile stations (emergency, business, private and military), long range data communication with radio modems, amateur radio, marine communications, air traffic control communications and air navigation systems. BBC FM and other UK radio programmes are broadcast using the band from 88.1 to 103.5 MHz.
