UHF

UHF, Ultra High Frequency, is the frequency band between 300 MHz and 3 GHz corresponding to wavelengths between 1 and 10 metres. In the UK the UHF band is used for terrestrial analogue television for the domestic channels, and, since 1998, for digital terrestrial television. Analogue transmissions are due to end in 2012.
