Scart

SCART is the abbreviation for Syndicat Français des Constructeurs d'Appareils Radio et Télévision. A scart connector is a 21-pin multifunction connector that can feed a composite, S-video or RVB video signal and remote control commands in either direction. All televisions have them. Thus a scart connector that connects a video cassette recorder to a television can feed out the signal to be recorded and feed in the signal to be played, through a single cable.
